This book is a delightfully weird collection wiht stories about depressed AI, nuclear garden gnomes, revolutionary hackers, and scottish moor cryptids. Through these interesting characters the author explores alination, cultural identity, and anti-imperialism. The horror stories are truly unsettling. The last story was my favorite, it reminded me of Good Omens, but weirder and more political. - Dani
A beautiful, breathtaking horror. The plight of Adam, the monster who commits violence because he was denied the opportunity to love and be loved, has been reproduced countless times - but nothing is as heartbreaking as the original. - Ivy
More than just a cookbook, Decolonize your Diet, has helped a new generation of Meican Americans reclaim their health and indigenous identity through food. Plenty of tasty recipes with descriptions of the specific health benefits of each. I started with beans and tortillas but the soups and salads were my favorites. Essential for any Mexican American kithchen! - Alex
I read this after becoming fasinated by the peregrines nesting in the Campanile. This is not a scientific study- it is one mans obsessive personal experience tracking two peregrines through a beautiful and bloody wilderness until his own behavior begins to reflect that of the peregrines. Baker laments being unable to observe peregrines in the nest from up close. Given that I, decades later, have done so simply by typing a URL, I feel sad that he never got the chance.

This book transported me into it's world so fully that I didn't come up for air for several days. This story is extremely successful at blending Sci-fi with themes from religion and philosophy, and the narrative is blended with short poems that lend poigancy to an at times dark and twisted story.
